pelele muñeco

so I've included a template which will fit a 12" doll. I've made it using various knits, mostly harvested from the children's old clothes, and it seems quite forgiving in most fabrics.

Here's what to do...

Tangram-quilt

This Tangram Book holds fabric shapes that can be arranged on felt inside the book for an activity that builds math skills and keeps kids (or adults!) entertained. It’s a really fun idea, and Rachael shows you how to create one of your own, step-by-step. Enjoy, and be sure to give Rachael a thanks in the comments for sharing this; visit Imagine Gnats and Rachael’s introduction for more!

Edredón Arcoiris

I found some great fat quarters at Craft Warehouse (most, but not all, were Moda fabric) that matched the colors Ellie wanted and I started ruffling.  I ruffled and ruffled and ruffled.  I used two white twin sheets I had in the linen closet and made my own duvet (I filled it with a light weight comforter from Target).
I think the finished product turned out a lot like our vision and really represents Ellie’s uniqueness.  I just love it!

Bolsas desplegables

Here's another product that is very strong on all 4 points: my UM bags. Yes, I brag, but these bags were good enough to start a business and pull me away from architecture.

1. the zipper-form idea had been done, but not in the same way.
2. very useful. everybody needs bags.
3. they are beautiful yet subtle.
4. great story: when an architect designs handbags this is what you get.

Pantalón-peto con nudos

I eventually settled on the Knot Overalls, as I have been wanting to try a pattern that has the knot straps for quite some time now. And I couldn't be more pleased with how they turned out...
